General Information
u The club workshop is open every Tuesday from 9.30am to 12.30 pm for jewelry workshop, Thursday from 9.00am to 12noon, and on Friday nights 7.00 to 9.00pm. All lapidary equipment and faceting machines are available for use and friendly instruction and assistance are provided for new members. Cost is $4 per session.
u All members are welcome to attend our general meetings which are held bi-monthly at the clubhouse on the 3rd Tuesday of the month commencing at 7.30pm.
u Newsletters are posted or e-mailed to members monthly with information on field trips, socials and gem shows.
u Field trips are an important part of the Club’s activities and are usually held on the third Sunday of each month. We travel to many and varied gem fields. Destinations include Chinchilla, Casino and Stanthorpe or further afield to Tomahawk Creek for sapphires or Agate Creek in Far North Queensland.

On a recent field trip, Neville, an experienced fossicker and club member was lucky to speck an 88 carat blue (Green X table) sapphire. A top quality stone which proved to be a very popular item for the photographers. |
